Blaze was an admired reaper, nicknamed the Hellfire demon daemonium. She was rivals with The Star Dragon nocte(Croissant), who was just as strong as her. Despite having a very serious rivalry, the two were close friends.
Blaze and Croissant went on a mission to subdue an extremely strong spirit wrecking havoc in the mortal world. Despite fighting furiously, the two top reapers were defeated. Croissant returned to the Reaper world without Blaze. He refused to talk about the fight.
Meanwhile, Blaze woke up in the field of the lost. After searching the seemingly endless rose field, she confirmed that she was the only one there. She wandered the field for a few centuries, figuring out what the field was and why she was there along the way by herself.
She found Ao, and cared for him till he regained his health. Time passed and they developed feelings for eachother. But the fact that Blaze still couldn’t remember what she had lost so long ago bothered her, to the point where she wasn’t herself.
Eventually Ao’s monster, his grief, arrived, trying to kill both of them. Enraged, Blaze sacrificed herself to save and kill the monster. At the time of her death, she realized that she had lost her courage. Fighting Ao’s grief let her regain her courage, and for that, she could finally rest in peace, thankful.
